You went to Moorside Primary school. When you were there you began your love of rugby, you were only about 10 when you started playing.I was worried because of all the injuries rugby players got, but you said It would be okay so you started playing.You enjoyed your days at Moorside,you made lots of friends, many of them stayed friends throughout your school days and into your teens,in fact you was out drinking with some of them the weekend before you died,Mick, Mark and Russell.Then there was Fiona, she was probably one of your best mates,she was always there for you when things got too much or you just needed someone to talk to.You were never short of people around you because you were just a fantastic person to be with.One of the most memorable moments when you were younger, about 8, you had climbed onto the roof of our house and were stuck.We had to call the fire service out to get you down.You said you had gone up to get a pidgeon that was stuck and couldn't get back down.That was the kind of person you were Ian,you cared about others,you loved life and lived it to the full.We knew that person so well and nothing will take those memories away.
